Henry Greener interviews Moshe Feiglin

October 20, 2015 by Henry Greener-The Shtick
Read on for article
Moshe Feiglin’s mild-mannered low-key style is not indicative of the hawkish image that so many opponents of his opinions portray. A video interview from The Shtick’s Henry Greener.
Feiglin is a controversial politician of high impact, starting his own Party in Israel, called Zehut International, wanting to create a new “Identity” for the many disillusioned citizens who may be dissatisfied with the current regime.
His visit to Australia has created some controversy with official communal bodies sending out string messages that some of his views are not welcome.

Consider yourself lucky Michael Barnett that I have decided since the owner of this blog decided to publish the outrageous outpourings of Henry Herzog to make this my last post on JWIRE!
The below shows posts by Hercog of October 11 and 13.
    http://www.jwire.com.au/rlrvrn-organisations-object-to-feiglin-views/Which were unaccountably published!
    My remonstrations were duly censored!
I hope the owner of Jwire has the courage to publish this and perhaps explicate his modus vivendi!
    Perhaps / perchance an apology?
    How could he publish Herzog?
    And censor GS??
‘Fare thee well’ to those who have thought generously of me.
I will spend my times elsewhere – especially my own neglected blogs!
  2. Michael Barnett says:
Disappointing that despite the significant coverage in the media surrounding Feiglin’s visit, his views on rights for LGBTIQ people were not explored. His claim that “he has his values” is suggestive of a morality that aligns with orthodoxy and thus would put him outside those who believe in equality under the law for all citizens.
  3. Robert Weil says:
Thank you J-Wire for posting this. I hope the NIF, Henry Herzog, Aleph, Jennifer Huppert et al, and all the other Knee-jerk alarmists took the time to watch it and see how unfounded their hysterical rantings were.
    • Michael Barnett says:
As per my previous comment Robert, there is no clearer understanding of Moshe Feiglin’s position on the rights of gay people given that Henry Greener did not ask him about it. That he has gay people in his political party is no evidence that Feiglin believes they should be treated with dignity or respect.

Perfect example of how those on the right who bleat the loudest about free speech, pluralism and diverisity are the first, and second, ones to want to ban anyone whose views are not perfectly in line with their narrow fearmongering world view.
No one is saying that he shouldn’t be able to express his abhorent points of view, he should be given the same freedom to speak as is Dr Fredrick Toben, David Irving and others on the right. What is really alarming is the intellecturally defectient arguements posed by the right which are based on conspicy theories and fear. Nothing constructive coming from them, just name calling and hatred. And the fact that they urge Israel to take aggressive measures, as a result of which innocent Israelis get murdered, while they and their children remain safe and sound here, is cowardly, but only in my world view.

LETTER TO EDITOR
The Australian

I advise that your letter writer Henry Herzog Deceptive scoring [Letters October 16] has a mere  2 and 3 days ago made the most outrageous of on – line contributions on Jewish Journal Jwire.
Herzog  made many posts recently: the most outrageous of which accuses those who plainly outnumber him on this blog by a factor of probably 20  to 1 of being responsible for the terrorists’ murder of ‘’innocent Israelis’’!

And he also somehow makes a similar direct comparison with Jews and with the world’s most outrageous holocaust deniers David  Irving and Frederick Tobin.

His other posts are also abysmal: here is one:
Henry Herzog says:
I would rather eat glass than listen to your hateful right- wing trash.

Perhaps Mr Herzog will in the nether world be held accountable: but in the interim he could try to explain how he could so outrageously abuse  mainstream Jews via comparisons that fail the basic elements of style. And that is an understatement.

Henry Herzog says:
There you go Robert; the comparison is that, those on the right only want to shut down extremist views with which they disagree, e.g. Toben’s and Irving’s, not others like Feiglin who also preach hatred. And going by what your mates are saying about Colin Rubenstein, he also could have caught this leftist disease. I don’t know about this leftist disease being terminal, but the rightist disease has proven to be, as history shows.

Henry Herzog says:
What happened to the Torah teaching us compassion, kindness and not doing to others what you wouldn’t want done to you? Or would you prefer to go down the path of the jihadists and see only the negatives and how to punish those who you fear?

Deceptive scoring                                                                                                              When conflict arises between Israel and Palestinians, some media outlets describe Israel’s actions as excessive and/or disproportionate, and give scores on how many have been killed on both sides.
An Israeli security officer shooting dead a knife wielding Palestinian who stabbed him, soon after a number of Israelis were stabbed to death, is condemned as an excessive use of force. If that’s so, how should the shooting death of Numan Haider by police in Melbourne last year — after he had stabbed them — be described?
And giving daily scores on how many have been killed does not give a true picture. If Palestinians weren’t killing civilians, they wouldn’t get killed. Furthermore, no other conflict in the Middle East is scored in this deceptive and biased way.
