I hear friends at the ABC claim eternal, immutable utilitarian benefit in using mega – large numbers. Astonishingly Aunty this morning [AM 31/5] claimed NBN - benefit via the incipient internet traffic reaching 1.4 zettabytes per year by 2017. A trillion gigabytes.
The above is asinine mega – manipulation on behalf of the latest
catastrophe to befall the asbestos – belabored Minister Steven
Conroy.
But they have it wrong anyway: no one accepts that the deficit and all her / their ungainly,
graceless immutable disasters can be thus ameliorated? Surely even Keynesians are not that economically irrational?
Yet Julia I hear is about to use Asimov’s googleplex; A billion zeroes. The late,
great Asimov defined it as a great number! You need a novel the size of Tolstoy’s
epic to fit it in!
You are wasting your time with merely Orweillian reconfiguring words
like ‘hyperbowl’, misogyny and more.
The future belongs to large numbers. Can you imagine a future Royal
Commission into your chaotic government tackling a billion pages as merely the
introduction?
